remember 9/11

In the early morning

The work day had just begun

An explosion was heard from one tower

And people began to run.

There was a second explosion

First thought was how can they get out

Firemen and Policemen

Were running in and out.

Both buildings crumbled to the ground

Lives lost forever we knew

Very few survived the inferno

Pray is all we could do.

As passengers boarded their flights

Taking seats in the plane

No one knew their lives were over

The world would never be the same.

The struggle that occurred was a doomed one

As the plane crashed to the earth

Heroes lost forever

Heaven would have a new birth.

The Pentagon was the next target

As the plane hit, fire spread everywhere

Those that perished are remembered

So much sadness we all must bear.

With a weary heart we remember

That day not long ago

A day of tragedy marked in our hearts

Where ever we may go.

Our prayers are with the families

Who have lost so very much

May God bless every one of them

Ease their pain with his gentle touch.

We Will Never Forget 9/11

very good, and so true. This day shouldn't be forgotten, and is being forgotten all across our country. Its hardly even mentioned anymore. No one puts flags at half mast, and the presidents speech is overshadowed by a bogus claim that the coast guard fired on a hostile boat. Its tragic. If I'd lost someone in those towers or those planes or the pentagon, I'd be furious.
